Yes I did intend to have a Linux build when I released the Windows build (initially the game was web only), but when I tried exporting it, it had issues (specifically, map metadata wasn't being read), so it's just Windows for now. I'd like to get it working at some point, but it is still playable on Linux with Proton/Wine at least, so not a big priority right now
Could you also have a setting to disable the lag protection? Since on my phone, it performs fine, but it says there's lag, and makes the game nearly unplayable after removing most of the note visibility.
So if the notes are spawning inside the box, that is because it's not performing well, since there's a desync between the map and the music itself. There's always going to be a little desync between them, which the game accounts for by shifting the spawn position of the notes, so the notes will still hit the target at the correct time. Unfortunately if there's too much desync between them, they'll be shifted inside the box, like you're seeing. If you just turned off that lag mitigation system entirely, the notes wouldn't be in time with the music, which would also make it unplayable. I'd like to go figure out how to prevent this, but that would be a lot of work, probably rewriting the whole map spawning system, so I'm focusing on Ch4 maps first
i just got jumpscared by IMAGE_FRIEND in game, and while i was not bothered by this, there should be an option to turn it off for anyone that may be prone to issues
Yeah I made it loud to make sure people wouldn't miss it whenever it happened since it's so rare (0.1%), but yeah I agree it's too loud. In the next update I'm going to turn it wayyy down so it's still spooky, but not a jumpscare that could cause issues for people

I didn't mention it in the Doc before since it wasn't really useful for custom maps before the map packs were implemented, since they were all stored in a single list, so other maps could get in the way of whatever order you wanted anyway. But now that map packs get their own list, it is useful. I should have added it to the doc when I released the map pack update, but I forgot, I'll add it now! Thanks for reminding me lol

Thanks, save data is stored in a separate folder ("C:\Users\[your name here]\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Deltarune Lightners Live" on Windows), so you don't need to worry about it at all, you can just replace the whole folder (or move it somewhere else) and it'll always read the save data from the same place
yo i wish this had custom key bindings so I could play with my weird l/p instead of x/z and wasd instead of arrow keys.. but aside from that so FUN! I just can't get the rhythm right, hehe.
Sorry about that, try this: Create a new text file inside the folder you extracted the game in, name it however you want, then open it and paste this:
"Deltarune Lightners Live Plus.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3
change the file extension from ".txt" to ".bat".
Now open the ".bat" file, which should run the game
If that still doesn't work, look in the command prompt window that will have also appeared when you ran that ".bat", and see if it outputs any errors when it crashes. Ignore the 3 red extension errors, and 1 yellow icon warning, they're known and shouldn't ever cause it to crash. But let me know if there's other ones, since that could explain the cause so I can fix it.
thank you so much for that project! i was replaying the maps from the game itching to play more and this is like a gift from above. the fact you did all the maps for chapter3 is really impressive! i will definitely tune in for the future updates. it would be great if there was a stat for full combo and accuracy percentage if it's possible to do
You can try opening it on mobile browser, it does have touch controls, although it can be kinda buggy. Proper mobile builds would be cool but would also take more work, my focus is on Ch4 maps right now
i really like the game!! just that i wish there was like a hotkey for muting and unmuting the game, as im trying to map songs and playtest them afterwards so, being able to mute the game from a key instead of going to Swatch would be nice.
OH MY GOOOOOOOOD i was trying to replay this minigame after i finished my run but i would have to end the third chapter all over again! even tried making a new save directly starting on chapter 4, but the mini games were not available bc, since i didnt actually played the chapter 3 in that save, i didnt have enought recruits. went on itch.io to see if i could find any nice browse games and voilá! love this fandom so much omg
Here is something I found pressing F3 during a song or on the results menu will pull up this chart which gives you lots of information about the song you on like the latency and your actual score The Error happens after the song
Really cool game, as a Taiko fan, I absolutely love the things this game does with the 2-note format! Some of the base and custom charts I've played are really freaking cool, and I replay them often. Other than a VS mode (which I saw below that it isn't a priority right now), I'd like to suggest showing the map's name above the notes' box, and maybe even a progress bar. But, more importantly, showing the max combo and score records in-game, it'd be really helpful when going for replays!

I think showing the score records in-game the whole time would clutter the screen a bit, but hmm maybe some sort of indication you've beaten your high score as soon as you pass your old record would be nice, a glow effect on the score number or something like that.
One suggestion, it might be more satisfying/frustrating if the note bar flashed gold when a note was hit, and the whole note screen flashed red when a note is missed, like in the original game.

I was playing on mobile and wanted to give some feedback. I haven't played a ton, but of what I have played it's functioned almost perfectly. The only bugs I've really experienced is the song rarely freezing for less than a couple seconds, and I don't miss notes when this happens, and that the notes can't be seen until about 1/4 from the top of the box. If you want a recording or screenshot let me know!
Also, do you have a kofi or anything that I can give a donation to? I'd love to give you some support, I'm just personally not interested in patreon.

I really love this game its fun and its differnt from the other rythm games as it is only 2 keys and i love playing them so thanks :D
